I'm not a fan of the supporter forum, but do you plan on making it visible on the bbs page (http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs) to everyone at all times (supporter or not, logged in or not)?
Because once the news post about it is gone, casual browsers won't even know it's there or that it's an option that they're missing out on.
Maybe make it orange and when it's clicked they get the standard 'supporter only' message with a link to the upgrade page.
Just a thought.
