Russia Exiles Gerbils. Destination, Space.

So, the Russians are blasting some gerbils off into space to simulate the effects that humans might experience on a flight to Mars. I couldn't help but think that this article would have been a good April Fool's joke. It's something that Borat might come up with, and funnily enough, the flight left from Kazakhstan.

Nothing good will come of it for the Gerbils, though - even if they survive the flight, they're to be butchered on their return. Here's a choice quote from the article:

"Day and night will be simulated and special machines will clean their excrement in the weightless conditions."

If only they could come up with something similar for land-based pets.

I work at a pet store and clean up after gerbils. There isnt any fucking machine, or anything that can clean up after them.

Infact they will all die of thrist because gerbils have the wonderful tendancy to block their waterbottles causing them to leak all over the fucking place and you need to check the thing daily to unblock it.

OMG Those poor Gerbils! I feel so bad for them! Anything small, fuzzy, cute, and 4 paws are to never be hurt! My sister used to have a Gerbil, rather funny story there, my cat thought it was a chew toy for him and everyday he some how got itno the cage and tortured the little gerbil, we would find holes in it's body and everything. I felt bad for it but one day I was in my room watching hentai and I nearly fell off my chair in fright because my sister just started screaming. I cleared the page and went to investigate and she was crying on the floor grasping her former gerbil. I left then lol'd so hard I began to lose conciousness then fell asleep.
